Francesco obtained a MSc in Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Padua (Italy). Following this he moved to the Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI), at the University College Dublin, in Ireland, where he received a PhD in Chemistry and Nano-Bio Interactions with a thesis on the development of 3D culture systems for assessing nanoparticle effects on non-proliferating cells in a “tissue-like” environment.
He is now working as a PostDoc in Steeve Boulant’s lab at the Heidelberg University Hospital (Germany) where he studies the role of Clathrin in polarised epithelial cells in 2D and 3D environments.
Francesco has extensive experience in High Content Screening, as well as imaging, proteomics analysis, flow cytometry, genomics, and 3D and trans-well cell culture.
