Roy Edward

Roy trained in Biochemistry at St Andrews University in Scotland and embarked on a career in life sciences “biotools” that has resulted in him living in both the US and Norway.

 

His core technical interest is sample preparation and he has worked with Dynabeads on both cellular and molecular applications. 

 

Roy has extensive experience in international distributor management and marketing communications including senior product management roles in proteomics and mass spectrometry with Applied Biosystems and then Shimadzu, where he initiated a project for MALDI sample preparation resulting in an Analytical Chemistry paper.

Since 2005 Roy has been the Sales & Marketing Director for BioStatus  where he responsible for day-to-day marketing activities.  He has considerable experience and understanding of the flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy and high content screening communities and is involved with scientific collaborations with several academic laboratories.  He also regularly teaches on flow cytometry and HCS masters courses.
